Briefing paper - Participation of young people who use drugs
Young people often suffer the greatest harms associated with drug use and drug policies due to a variety of individual, social and structural factors. Despite this fact, policy makers, service providers and the international community fail to take into account young peoples specific needs and continue to exclude them from decision-making processes that affect their lives.
This papers therefore explains why the participation of young people who use drugs is so important at all levels of the the policy making process and how we can better support the engagement of the most affected young people.
