Briefing paper - Harm reduction and young people
Evidence shows us that most drug use is initiated in adolescent years, but for most young people around the world, access to adequate drug treatment, advice and services remain woefully inadequate. The reality is that young people today find it far easier to access drugs than the neccessary information and services needed to reduce their harm.
This paper explains what harm reduction is, the barriers facing young people in accessing harm reduction and Youth RISE's recommendations for creating more effective harm reduction services for young people who use drugs.
